Handling of Personal Information

Privacy Policy of Synk

Synk handles and protects personal information as outlined below:

1. Personal Information Held by Synk

Synk holds certain personal information provided by customers during travel bookings as personal data. This includes personal information of job applicants and employees working at Synk.

Synk also holds the personal numbers (My Number) of employees, their dependents, and individuals with ongoing contractual relationships for which Synk prepares documents such as payment statements.

2. Purpose of Use of Customer Personal Information

Synk uses personal information provided by customers during travel bookings for communication purposes, and within the scope necessary for arranging travel services such as transportation, accommodation, and other services, as well as for payment procedures related to the travel expenses.

Additionally, Synk may use customer personal information for the following purposes:

  1. Information about Synk's and its affiliated companies’ products, services, and promotions

  2. Requests for customer feedback and opinions after participation in travel

  3. Surveys

  4. Offering special benefits

  5. Creating statistical data

  6. Providing information that Synk deems relevant to the customer

  7. Customer relationship management and other forms of marketing and analysis

Synk uses the personal information of job applicants for identity verification, communication, and other necessary purposes related to recruitment and employment.

3. Provision of Customer Personal Information to Third Parties

Synk provides customers' personal information, such as name, gender, age, address, phone number or email address, passport information, and credit card details, to external providers such as transport or accommodation providers, service providers, third-party vendors, and agents as necessary for the arrangement and receipt of travel services.

In case of illness or accidents during the trip, Synk may ask for the contact details of someone to reach in such situations. This personal information will only be used if Synk deems it necessary to contact that person in the event of illness or other emergencies. Customers must obtain consent from the contact person before providing their personal information to Synk.

4. Collection and Use of Customer Personal Information

Synk handles personal information in the following manner:

  • Personal information will not be used for any purpose other than the collection purpose unless the customer provides consent.

  • If personal information is to be entrusted to third parties or provided to others, Synk will notify the customer and obtain consent in advance.

  • For minors, parental consent will be required.

  • Providing personal information to Synk is voluntary, but if certain information is not provided, it may prevent the necessary procedures for communication or booking the travel services.

5. Outsourcing of Customer Personal Information

Synk may outsource part or all of the handling of personal information to third-party companies for services such as tour guiding, airport assistance, and necessary procedures for the payment of travel expenses.

6. Inquiries and Disclosure of Customer Personal Information

If you wish to request notification, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or cessation of provision of your personal data, Synk will provide guidance on the necessary procedures. However, if such requests significantly hinder the proper operation of Synk's services, we may not be able to comply.

7. Handling of Specific Personal Information

Synk will use personal numbers only within the scope defined by the My Number Act.

Synk will not provide personal numbers to any third parties other than those specified by the My Number Act.

Once the tasks related to personal numbers have been completed, Synk will promptly delete or dispose of the personal numbers.

8. In Case of Personal Information Breach

If there is a breach of personal information or similar issues, Synk will immediately notify customers. To ensure security, Synk may temporarily suspend its systems or promptly disclose relevant facts on its website.

Shipping and handling fees:

The customer is responsible for any communication costs associated with receiving the receipt email for the electronic ticket and displaying the electronic ticket.
